"Vision"

"Everyone needs to have a vision- Not everyone should be apart of your vision."
by Stephanie Stahl

"Why wear GOLDTOE® "

Well, It has been a year since the "Swing Meeting".........Thought you'd love the humor.
Only you know the humor behind the story............................

For
those of you who do not know. GOLDTOE® is a brand of sock. "Socks! are not just socks." These socks are made with the finest yarns and have reinforced heel and toes to provide a comfort fit. Best of all GOLDTOE® socks lay flat at the toes so you have a smooth transition all day long. How about that? No more feeling like you have a rock in the toe of your shoe. Most men are familiar with the GOLDTOE® dress sock, women still care more for the fashion than comfort.
Not me! When my feet are not crushed up in heels, my feet are gathered by the finest GOLDTOE® sport sock or trouser sock. So, treat your feet to the finest!! You deserve it.
Sometimes Life is ...................
Sometimes life is like looking through a murky pond. Where our vision can often be hindered by the elements...Always looking too close to find what already exist. What is Real?........... Know rather you can see or not, through the murky water? Nothing changes what already exist.

"More out of Honey"

"You get more out of honey than you do vinegar"
I am not sure where the saying originated from but great advice........Why sales people are so successful? The sales people who understand the philosophy behind that saying are successful. I shared with investigators the same philosophy whichlead me to successful results..........everytime. " I would much rather lead a horse to pond than push the horse" Think about it ................Take the path of least resistance it takes more effort but the results are endless................

" You have to sometimes throw a little vinegar to.... appreciate the honey!!

A reply to Rex's comment "More out of Honey".
Rex you are right and thank you for the comment. I had to ponder the thought of what you said and it is amazing their really is two sides to a story. Although you always try to do the right 'thing', make good judgements and treat people with kindness. Those decisions or act of kindness may not always be appreciated or taken in as you would want or deserve. Remembering........that 'honey' can be a disadvantage and until you taste the vinegar............ you may not appreciate the Honey!!

"Leadership Breakdown"

Leadership is a term used in every aspect of our life but most often used by the "Corporate America". If relationships faultier, business drops, or turnover is high guess what?
"Leadership" is normally the blame.
So if Leadership is really the answer to all company's problems why do the problems still exist? Good question.
We think of leadership as the "top dogs" of the company our CEO'S and our Presidents often called by associates and employees as the "untouchable organization". The common perception of the employees is that the "untouchable organization" never hears what "we" have to say. I tend to disagree with the associate and employee theory. "You are heard" loud and clear often through the Smaller leaders of the company. By the way that could be good or bad depending on the leaders relationship with the "untouchable organization" and your relationship with the smaller leader. Our smaller leaders are defined as branch managers, regional managers, district managers or territory managers, really different names for different companies.
So where is the "leadership breakdown"? Well, the "untouchable organization" has no one above them to hold them accountable so guess what? The smaller leaders take the "fall".
Leaders are needed and important to a companies growth, progress and future success.
However, because so many Leaders come to work with the "I am" badge and have their own agendas it can damage the structure of the organization and mislead the vision of the company. Often leaders mislead themselves and the future of other employees. This is critical because often times great people remove themselves or are removed by the company because the lack of true leadership.
UM....what is the difference in leadership and true leadership well in my best of opinions anyone who is a leader can lead which defines leadership but "true" leadership is done with genuine intent and the best interest of all parties involved. True leadership causes you "the leader" to stand up for right, take the bullet for the best and never let another leader compromise your belief or truth of a situation.
So back to the breakdown...............
Although smaller leaders are often the blame for a companies failure the "untouchables" enabled the behavior. GREAT leaders use all resources as their growth and give credit where credit is deserved. Leaders who only sometimes share the credit, sometimes stand up for the right decision or sometimes use the resources available only show lack of leadership and confidence in their own ability to network their resources.
So the "leadership breakdown" and the fault will ultimately fall within smaller leaders in the company but the Leadership really does start from the "Top".
If you look High often times behavior is enable from the Top. Now that is not to say a smaller leader can sway Weak leadership at the top but not True leadership.
That my friend is the difference..............

"What is a Blog"

Blogs are simply being your own journalist, in some sense. As a matter of fact, you would not believe but every Presidential Candidate has a blog. Crazy! It seems I have had people in a frenzy over the blog and believe me some of these people are from Houston. The funny is more than 1/2 my readers e-mail me and want me to write about them and a few I can't even explain.

So, thank you supporters. I see my stats and they are on the rise. Rex, Jump in anytime. (for the few I can't explain) Rex you would have thought I went Gothic. Hey, I am the expert in behavior but new to the "techno teddies " is this a normal behavior or a guilty conscious???
